On 37,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness in Montana’s Blackfoot Valley, the Resort at Paws Up is one of the most luxurious ranch-style retreats in the country. Combining a rugged outdoor experience with all the creature comforts of fine dining and premier amenities, Paws Up wanted an experience for their guests that would fully immerse them in the Montana wilderness and provide a sense of exploration and adventure within a guided and controlled environment.
The Resort at Paws Up
Concept & Design
With the client’s needs in mind, Synergo designed a custom Aerial Adventure Park, broken up into two separate courses, meandering through indigenous Montana pines, offering guests sweeping views of snow-capped peaks and prairies.
BUILD & INSTALLATION
Synergo was tasked with building the two courses making up the Adventure Park in two phases spanning over a period of two years. This allowed Paws Up to ease into the management aspects and financial costs of both parts while learning what worked and what didn’t.
OPERATIONAL DOCUMENT & MANUAL CREATION
Our goal was to demonstrate operational competence if an accident were to happen, create knowledge and skill-continuity among staff, and create a reference for how the design, equipment and training at Paws Up Resort intersect. To do so, we created a necessary Operations Manual. On top of the main manual, Synergo also created a package of operation documents to be used by staff.
Synergo inspects the Paws Up Adventure Park adhering to the Association for Challenge Course Technology standards.
ANNUAL GEAR PACKAGES
Synergo takes pride in outfitting Paws Up in all equipment - for both guest and guide. We take all aspects into account: the target audience of guests, the size of the parks, and unique vertical climbing aspects of the courses. This package includes guide and guest helmets, trolleys, guide and guest harnesses, lanyards, and rescue packs created specifically for Adventure Parks.
Because of Synergo’s role as an ACCT Professional Vendor Member, we work closely with Paws Up each year to oversee the curriculum of in-house trainings.
