A New High Point: Synergo Builds Aerial Adventure Course for Camp Firwood
This summer, Camp Firwood is reaching new heights—literally!
Synergo was thrilled to partner with the Camp Firwood to design and build an all-new aerial adventure course that gives campers the kind of big, bold, high point experience they’ll be talking about all year long. Firwood’s previous challenge course had served its time, but it no longer met the needs of today’s campers or the scale of their summer program. They came to us with a vision: a dynamic, multi-level activity that could engage multiple cabin groups at once, offer a variety of challenge levels, and serve as a memorable highlight of every camper’s week.
Working closely with Camp Firwood, our team designed and constructed a two-level aerial adventure course with over 30 different elements utilizing Clic-iT's smart belay system. Campers climb into the course via a custom-designed treehouse-style staircase that leads to a spacious deck—a perfect place to cheer each other on, and take in the views of the surrounding forest. From there, they navigate a range of aerial obstacles that grow in intensity and complexity, allowing each camper to choose their own level of challenge.
To cap it all off, we added a thrilling tandem zip line and two True Blue "quick descent" exits—giving campers multiple ways to finish with a big dose of adrenaline. This design makes it easy to keep multiple groups moving and engaged, with something exciting and age-appropriate for everyone. The course was built not only for fun, but also with Firwood’s long-term goals in mind: creating a safe, scalable, and unforgettable experience that supports confidence, courage, and cabin bonding.

The end result is more than just a ropes course—it's an immersive, elevated adventure that blends beautifully into the Firwood forest and program. Campers and staff alike are already raving about the new course, and it’s quickly become a centerpiece of the summer experience.
