Synergo Workshops

Synergo trainings are open to facilitators, teachers, counselors, managers or anyone who simply works with people.  During Synergo trainings, we engage one another in activities, practicing facilitation skills and critiquing our style and approach. Dipping into our bag of tricks, we share resources and provide specific activities that address individual needs or issues relevant to the facilitator’s own workplace.

As children we learned how to get along with others, how to communicate and how to survive through the games we played with each other. The In the Bag Games and Initiatives Training provides counselors, teachers, trainers, youth workers, facilitators and anyone who works with people a chance to get together and learn new activities, group initiatives, and games to add to your portable bag of tricks! Since we believe that most people learn best from their experiences, we will spend the entire day learning activities and games for groups of all sizes and people of all ages by playing them with each other. After each experiential activity we will discuss different ways the activity can be used to accomplish group goals, i.e. teamwork, trust, communication, etc. and various ways to adapt the activities to meet the needs of different populations. You will leave with a whole new repertoire of activities, ideas for low cost props you can make, and new ways to connect with your groups.

Training Cost: $75, includes lunch. If an organization brings three or more members to the training a discount of $15 will be applied for each person.

Next Training Date: TBD By Request

FACILITATION from the inside out

The art of facilitation begins from within. This interactive workshop will help facilitators recognize and bring forth the strength that resides within them for the purpose of making more powerful and meaningful connections with program participants. We examine in-depth the importance of processing and generalizing as methods to encourage participants to draw learning out of events or experiences and apply the results of experiential learning to make real impact in their lives. Participants will learn from each other as they work through simulations in regards to diversity, emotions, group dynamics and other challenges facilitators often encounter when working with groups. Participants will gain a better understanding of themselves and how to work through their personal barriers by becoming an effective facilitator.

Next Training Date: TBD - Email us if you're interested in this workshop.

Workshop Cost: $525, 3 days of training, includes room and board.
