Among the woodlands, wetlands and wildlife of the hills of Southwest Portland lies the oldest Episcopal school west of the Rockies, Oregon Episcopal School. The school occupies a 59-acre campus offering a unique educational experience to Pre-K through 12th Grade students. OES is dedicated to an enriched academic environment of "learning by doing" incorporating cultural and outdoor experiences that strive to help each individual reach his or her fullest potential. Since 1994 Synergo has partnered with the Oregon Episcopal School in offering challenge course programs to youth and adults in Portland and the surrounding areas. The Challenge Course sits on the back corner of the property and includes a combination of high and low elements. This inviting location along with the challenge course provides visitors an unusual opportunity to be fully engaged in their relationship with nature, themselves, and their community while not being too far away from the city.

EarthTeach Forest Park is remarkably unlike any other environmental resource in Southern Oregon. The Park features 1,680 protected timber acres, a complete commitment to youth education, and community building through challenge course programs, outdoor adventuring, and nature conservation activities. EarthTeach is a place for people of all ages to connect with nature and themselves. These experiences are rare and special gifts with life-enriching potential. EarthTeach offers experiences that combine creativity with hiking, critical thinking with outdoor arts, decision-making with high ropes, and environmental awareness with a labyrinth walk. With learning that is physical, emotional, and spiritual, a unique, perhaps wilder and deeper, understanding of the natural world and oneself emerges. The Challenge Course at EarthTeach was built and is managed by Synergo. The course hosts a variety of groups in the spring, summer and fall. Groups use the course to learn about life transitions, team building, and leadership... all intent upon having fun while getting themselves "on the same page." Several programs for youth at risk and adjudicated teens have also tapped into the Park's challenge course curriculum and facilities to produce tremendously positive results.
