The school occupies a 59-acre campus offering a unique educational experience to Pre-K through 12th Grade students. OES is dedicated to an enriched academic environment of "learning by doing" incorporating cultural and outdoor experiences that strive to help each individual reach his or her fullest potential. Cedar Ridge Retreat and Conference Center is located about 50 minutes west of Portland in the scenic countryside of Vernonia, Oregon. The site was originally a family farm back in the early 1900s and then in the mid 60’s it was converted over to a basketball camp. Today this 28 acre facility hosts a wide variety of groups and conferences. Synergo now partners with the site to provide groups that are interested in using their low challenge course elements with professional facilitation from our staff. Their low element challenge course is tucked away in a pocket of woods on the property and is the perfect compliment for a group that is on site for just a day or staying for an extended period of time and taking advantage of all the amenities on site.

With learning that is physical, emotional, and spiritual, a unique, perhaps wilder and deeper, understanding of the natural world and oneself emerges. The Challenge Course at EarthTeach was built and is managed by Synergo. The course hosts a variety of groups in the spring, summer and fall. Groups use the course to learn about life transitions, team building, and leadership... all intent upon having fun while getting themselves "on the same page."
