Facilitation from the Inside Out
Our facilitator training uses the Synergo Experiential Learning Wave as the theoretical background to successful facilitation. We examine in-depth the importance of processing and generalizing as methods to encourage participants to apply the results of experiential learning and make a real impact in their lives. Using this framework as a point of departure, we look at how it can be used to draw learning out of most any event or experience through effective facilitation. We then consider what a good facilitator needs and set out to provide tools to fill your tool box.

Participants will learn from each other as they work through mock situations in regard to diversity, emotions, group dynamics and other challenges facilitators often encounter when working with groups. This course is designed to allow participants to develop a better understanding of themselves and to work through the personal barriers that keep them from being an effective facilitator.
The weekend course is spent discovering and uncovering our motivations, belief systems, defense mechanisms, and "buttons, that get in the way or contribute to effective facilitation. The course is designed for facilitators to become more comfortable with their emotions and the emotions of others. Participants can expect a weekend of self-discovery, healing, renewal, and empowerment.

The Facilitation Skills Training is a 3 day residential training. The cost of the training includes lodging, meals and all training materials.
