In the Bag
Portable Games and Initiatives Training
As children we learned how to get along with others, how to communicate and how to survive through the games we played with each other. The In the Bag training provides counselors, teachers, trainers, youth workers and anyone who works with people a chance to get together and learn new activities, group initiatives, and games to add to your portable bag of tricks!
Since we believe that most people learn best from their experiences, we will spend the entire day learning activities and games for groups of all sizes and people of all ages by playing them with each other! After each experiential activity we will discuss different ways the activity can be used to accomplish group goals, i.e. teamwork, trust, communication, etc. and various ways the activities can be adapted to meet the needs of the different populations that we are working with. You will leave with a whole new repertoire of activities, ideas for low cost props that you can make, and new ways to connect with the groups you are working with.
Come with an open mind and a willingness to play, have fun, and learn!
