Challenge Course Design & Construction
SYNERGO has been building and designing challenge courses in the Portland area since 1982. We build courses that are creative in design, accessible to people of all abilities, and planned with each groupšs specific budget in mind. We are educated in the standards put forth by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) and build all challenge course elements to meet or exceed these standards.
Each challenge course is individually designed and built to match the organization's programming needs and site-specific requirements. We work to utilize the natural environment and contours of the landscape to create a challenge course that is unique, blends in with the aesthetics of the environment, and is challenging to the groups it serves.
If you are planning to incorporate challenge course elements into your current program and are interested in building it yourself, SYNERGO can also work with you to ensure it is designed and built safely and meets current ACCT standards.

Design: Whether you are looking specifically for teams elements, elements for a younger population, an indoor course, or elements that can used by people with physical or mental challenges, we can help you to design a course that will meet your needs.
Construction: Synergo provides a quality building team with state of the art equipment for building your course or assisting you and your staff to construct your own course.
Portable Equipment: Because not everyone has the resources or the need for an entire challenge course, Synergo staff has developed a wide range of portable equipment and programs and can assist you in implementing them.
Safety: As always, safety is our number one priority. We can work with you to ensure that your existing course is safe and meets the Association for Challenge Course Technology standards. We can also offer input to ensure safe programming and use of challenge courses in your program.
Facilitator Training: Challenge courses are not much help without qualified facilitators. We provide various levels of training workshops for program staff throughout the year, or we can customize a training for you and your site.
Program Designs: Whatever your agency's goals, effective programming is instrumental to maximizing the potential of your challenge course and teams. We can work with you to ensure that you are optimizing your challenge course and related activities.
Programming: We own and operate our own challenge course which we can use to help implement your team building, trust building, group dynamics, and challenge programs. SYNERGO offers the skills of numerous facilitators to meet the wide range of needs of different organizations.
